Driver based vehicle access control
The existing access credential is applied for long range driver identification ensuring a vehicle can never get access unless driven by an authorized driver. Vehicle and driver are identified simultaneously, allowing monitor and control of flexible driver and vehicle situations. Nedap has led the development in this area for the last decade. With our offering of in-vehicle booster devices, which can read and boost standard access credentials up to distances of 33 ft [10 m] at speeds up to 125 mph [200 km/h]. The Booster 2G offers easy front end integration by using a common building access credential. Supported card technologies are HID Prox and iClass, Legic, Mifare (Desfire), EM, Calypso and Nedap.
Monitoring vehicle related activities
Long range identification of a vehicle based on RFID technology to facilitate vehicle access control or enable data regarding vehicle related activities such as access, weighing, loading and unloading. Automatic Number Plate Recognition
The License Plate Reader for vehicle access control is an all-in-one identification system that embeds camera, illuminator and processing in one compact weatherproof housing. Management is easy with the embedded web browser interface, through the also available Ethernet connection. This system offers automatic number plate reading combined with Wiegand communication. The Nedap ANPR reader transforms seamlessly integrated license plate reading into a wiegand badge reader output. Easily to integrate in standard access control systems, even alphanumeric license plates issues. Benefits:
