A public transport company based in Brescia, Italy, needed a system to identify busses and drivers. The company required a system that could provide detailed fleet information about access control of the bus depot, individual buses and drivers. The management wanted to monitor the condition, fuel consumption, km recording, maintenance and location of the buses and employee behaviour.
Solution
Nedap AVI was able to offer the customer a complete solution. The combination of inductive (short range) and microwave (long range) technology offered the customer a high level of convenience. Moreover Nedap was able to integrate the existing personnel badges in the system in combination with our microwave technology. The system offers the company the possibility to manage their fleet. It provides detailed information about their fleet, which enables them to plan the schedule and vehicles in the most efficient way.
