What are vehicle based tags?

Vehicle based tags are long range tags applied to identify the vehicle only. It serves as a means of reducing congestion and establishing fast identification for those who use an AVI tag. Vehicle tags are programmed with a unique number, representing the vehicle ID. These vehicle based tags are available in four products:

• Window Button
• Window Button Switch
• Compact Tag
• Heavy Duty Tag

Why vehicle based tags?

Vehicle based can be mounted either to windshield of the vehicle or on the exterior of the vehicle. The tag is identified up to 10 meters [33 feet] as soon as it comes within line of sight of the TRANSIT reader. The vehicle based tags are known for their excellent performance across a great variety of applications. Vehicle based tags are used for convenient long range vehicle access, parking, automated truck weigh scales, yard management, waste management etc.
