Nedap introduces the second generation Smartcard Booster. The Smartcard Booster “2G” with dual-ID technology can read and boost the latest smart card technologies,  such as HID iCLASS, LEGIC advant and MIFARE DESFire. Smartcard Booster 2G is the ultimate solution for secure and fast driver based vehicle access.

Nedap AVI developed the second generation Smartcard Booster from decades of world wide experience with long range RFID technology. The new Booster extends the read range of supported smart card credentials up to distances of 33 ft [10 m] and speeds up to 125 mph [200 km/h]. This in-vehicle device exists of a unique vehicle identification number which can be combined with a driver personal smartcard for building access. This enables fast, convenient and secure vehicle access for authorized vehicles and drivers.

Nedap presented one of its latest developments during the LEGIC partner seminar in the Swiss city of Davos. “With the new Smartcard Booster Nedap has the ideal solution where both vehicles and drivers need to be closely monitored and identified, like high secured areas and situations where vehicles are used by different drivers,” says Jan Hofman, Business Development Manager from Nedap AVI.
