Driver based identification
Nedap’s driver based identification solution maximizes the security of a vehicle access application. It expands the protection zone beyond your building’s doors to the perimeter of your property.

Nowadays it is no longer enough to just identify the vehicle, which could easily be stolen or camouflaged as a “Trojan horse”. Nedap has led the development in this area for the last decade, with our offering of in-vehicle Booster devices, which can read and boost standard access credentials up to distances of 10 m [33 ft] at speeds up to 200 km/h [125 mph]. 

The Booster offers easy front end integration by using common personnel ID card. No authorization of new numbers in the host system is required. Supported card technologies are;
  • HID Prox & HID iClass
  • Legic
  • Mifare
  • EM
  • Nedap

 

Applications include airport and port security, defense, utility, corporate and education campuses, police, fire brigades, public transport vehicles and other installations where vehicles must be assigned to a specific driver.
